Overview

this Module is divided into 3 parts:

Unit 1: Government
Unit 2: Citizenship
Unit 3: Basic Fundamental Rights and Obligations

The module aims to enhance the skills in the fields of civic education and active participation in the political and social life of the host countries as well as to assist asylum seekers, refugees and migrants to perceive important values and terms which will facilitate their engagement as citizens in the community. Furthermore, the purpose of this module is to encourage more critical thinking by its beneficiaries and create political and citizen awareness.

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of this Module participants should be able to:

Comprehend the main concepts of government as well as the organization and functioning of the state
Strengthen active participation of citizens at all levels;
Familiarize with the fundamental rights, legal benefits and responsibilities in order to smoothly proceed to integration and social cohesion;
Enhance political and citizen awareness and develop participatory skills for involvement in the democratic societies.
